Report a Highways Issue
You can report a wide variety of road, pavement, and environmental maintenance problems using the Suffolk County Council Highways Reporting Tool.
- Roads and Pavements - general surface or structural pavement surface
- Blocked drains, flooded roads or pavements, and issues with manhole covers.
- Debris, mud, or weeds obstructing the road surface.
- Problems involving bridges or other highway structures.
- Signs, Signals, and Street lights that are broken or not working.
- Traffic signals or pedestrian crossing faults.
- Unlit, obscured, missing, or damaged road signs and bollards.
- Missing or faded road markings.
- Missing or damaged safety barriers and guardrails.
- Vegetation or overhanging trees or hedges affecting visibility or the highway.
- Grass-cutting and overgrown verges.
- Empty or damaged grit/salt bins needing a refill.
- Other Issues - Public rights of way problems such as obstructed footpaths or broken stiles/gates on public paths.
- Heavy goods vehicle (HGV) incidents or weight restriction breaches on unsuitable route
