Report a Highways Issue

You can report a wide variety of road, pavement, and environmental maintenance problems using the Suffolk County Council Highways Reporting Tool.

  • Roads and Pavements - general surface or structural pavement surface
  • Blocked drains, flooded roads or pavements, and issues with manhole covers.
  • Debris, mud, or weeds obstructing the road surface.
  • Problems involving bridges or other highway structures.
  • Signs, Signals, and Street lights that are broken or not working.
  • Traffic signals or pedestrian crossing faults.
  • Unlit, obscured, missing, or damaged road signs and bollards.
  • Missing or faded road markings.
  • Missing or damaged safety barriers and guardrails.
  • Vegetation or overhanging trees or hedges affecting visibility or the highway.
  • Grass-cutting and overgrown verges.
  • Empty or damaged grit/salt bins needing a refill.
  • Other Issues - Public rights of way problems such as obstructed footpaths or broken stiles/gates on public paths.
  • Heavy goods vehicle (HGV) incidents or weight restriction breaches on unsuitable route
